Bosch Fuel Pressure Regulator Part Numbers 200

It has become clear that I need to replace my fuel pressure regulator. I will only use Bosch. Now it seems there is some descrepancy as to which part number I may want. It seems Volvo recommends a replacement part #0280160293 instead of the original for my car produced 10/1986 part #280160214. Different sites have different info on this. My understanding is that some complained that the replacement "the 293" provided lower than stock spec fuel pressure. Was there anything wrong with "the 214"? Any opinions out there on this subject? Thanks, as always.
