142S sad story 140-160

As some may recall, my much loved 142S was recently involved in an unfortunate accident. It’s with much sadness that I have decided to part with this great car that I had once hoped would someday be passed down to my Son (he’s now 4). My delimma is deciding weather I should sell it as is, so someone more skilled than I can repair it, or part it out to help all of you with your 142 projects. Here’s what I’ve decided, I’ll offer the whole car for sale first, then, if there are no interested parties in keeping it together, I’ll offer it as parts. Here’s the details. It was a near-show quality 1970 142S before the accident, which was a side-swipe down the drivers side, see pictures. The rest of the body is in very good shape. The interior is very, very nice, headliner, dash, door panels are perfect, however the drivers seat needs recovering. Mechanically the car is fine, I still drive it to work every day. The engine was rebuilt in 2001, and has a Weber 32/36 carb. and electronic ignition. It has IPD sway bars, new KYB shocks, fresh brakes, and all electrical accessories work, even the origial Volvo radio. I have the original window sticker, a factory shop manual, and other original documentation, as well a a huge folder of maintenance receipts. Before the accident, this was an outstanding example of a cared for classic. Now, I have no idea what it’s worth. Please make me an offer and we’ll work something out.
