Refurbishing seatbelts 200 1988

My kids have often complained about how hard it is to fasten the seat belts in the back seat (center seat, belts in the 3rd seat aren't that bad)

How can I lubricate or clean them up so that they fasten easier?

I remember seeing one of the sites had a fix for the belt tensioner which I may tackle as well. For now I am mostly interested in the buckle portion.
