Frankenstein's Limp (Source of the klunk...) 1800 1971

considering that I can only work on the car once or twice a week, the disassembly is moving along at a good pace. Now that I've got the radiator, alternator, intake manifold and AC condensor out I can see more than I ever wanted to...

Seems that the source of the strange klunk and steering issue (left pull) that appeared back in March is a direct result of the rust. The drivers side bracket that holds the anti-sway bar is out. I don't mean just broken, the entire bracket and the metal that is was mounted to is gone. The front part of that spar is a rusty mess. Wow... on the plus side the rubber for the sway bar is still there and in great shape. The swaybar itself looks fine too. These volvos never cease to amaze me.
