780 power seat questions... 700 1989

The driver's seat recline motor/cable/gears just make a ratcheting sound but don't move the seatback. My upholsterer has it apart, and the motor and cables are in the seatback, so I need to fix it before he puts the new upholstery on. Do the power seat mechanisms in the 760 electric seats interchange? I know the two-door 780 requires the seats to fold for rear-seat access and requires that latching setup, but maybe some of the 760 parts would work?

The passenger seat recline also makes ratcheting sounds but it does move the seatback. Also, the up/down tilt for the drivers seat (both front & back switches) do nothing. I think it just may be dirty switches, which I haven't had a chance to address yet since the car is not at home.
