O.D. relay and switch replaced-Still no O.D. Time to get a new Solenoid? 200

Let me 1st say that I can't stand not having a hydraulic lift to work on my car. I have to use a ford explorer jack to elevate my 244 since the previous owner didn't even have a jack with the car. Oh and not to mention when I moved down to Florida, my 5 ton jack somehow was "misplaced"...Rrrghhh...Anyways, I replaced the overdrive relay and switch and I remember some bricksters telling me to check the wiring to the solenoid and such. I've replaced an O.D. on a hydaulic lift and it only took me 30 minutes to do...How hard is this going to be ghetto-rigging it with cynder blocks and this cheap jack? Should I just bring it to a cottman transmission *cringe* shop and see how much they'll charge to fix the damned thing?
