My deepest appoligies to jdouglas for not interacting as I suppose I should be doing more of. I did indeed take in the suggestions of Ryan and Mapleleafer and tried checking for those type problems. I had no success. I send out the extra threads only because the information I was obtaining was not working. Not saying it was bad information, just that it did not work in my case. I tried the prepump diagnostic, the AMM diagnostic, the FPR diagnostic, the TPS diagnostic, the O2 diagnostic and every other suggestion that has been sent. Many thanks to all who have taken the time to read my posts and to respond. As of today I still have not solved the problem but did discount one item. As I was again checking the AMM I saw some dirt in the tube. So being not as steady as I used to be I had the bright idea to take a rag and clean out the small spot of dirt. POP, yea that is what I heard. Broke the fine wire around the center sensor. OK now I do buy a new AMM. Boy won't that be cheap..For a poor old guy in a wheelchair I seem to be able to mess up more than I can fix.. Time to retire..For all the years I have been on this board I have never run into anything like this. A problem that can not be solved by the collective intelligence of this amazing board of Bricksters..Oh yea, There is no prize in solving the problem, only letting an old man be able to drive his favorite car without having to worry about the battries in his wheelchair going dead from the long ride home after the car strands me in the middle of no-where-land again..MAX
