after successfully putting a paired set of Lucas horns in the 122, I was planning to also grab the airhorn setup from "Frank The 1800." One the the horns is actually rusted through, but is not beyond saving.
I've got two issues with this conversion. One is that the old horns never worked for me. I found one disconnected wire (at the city/highway switch), and found that the horn canister was devoid of oil, but in otherwise excellent physical condition. I'm hoping that the wire and lack of oil was the problem. What sort of oil should be in there anyway?
Anyway, the other problem is that the canister was mounted at the driver's side firewall with a hose running up to the horns in the nose. I've looked around inside my engine compartment and I'm not sure where I can put this setup. I've got space to mount the horns themselves up on the passenger side of the nose compartment, but I can't see anyplace to mount the canister. Things are pretty cramped as is and I'm going to eventually drop a whole B20E D-jet in there too.
Any thoughts or experiences here?
