Failed emissions... what to do? 200 1980

So my 1980 245 failed emissions today.

It drew a CO of 2.8638 on first idle and then a 2.7971 on second idle.

I haven't a clue what that means, aside from being told that it should be below 1.0, and being told that's why my car failed.

Any suggestions?
