Dear all,

how one can check the performance of hand brake with '90 745, auto?
Would that be a good test: stop at incline, turn off the engine and set the trans to R or D, apply the hand brake and release the brake pedal, and check if the car rolls at this point?
Also, I guess it is normal that the hand brake disengage somehow when the car is started? (instruments still show "hand brake" warning until the handle is released down)

This is probably a general question but '90 745 is the first car I own...
