'Extreme' Solution to '68 Master Cylinder 120-130 1967

Well, after picking up a very long, narrow pair of needle-nose pliers, soaking the cylinder overnight full of PBlaster I got absolutely no improvement or movement of the lower plunger. There is no way that air would budge this thing, so I finally gave in and tried something a tad "extreme"

After 20 minutes of pulling with extra long needle-nose pliers and a bench vice, I finally grabbed my drill and drilled out the little dimple at the end of the cylinder. This finally gave me the access to knock the small plunger out. My reasoning here was that it was usless the way it was, and unless I could determine that the bore was undamaged, it was just a useless piece of metal anyway.

Fortunately, the bore looks okay. Problem now is that I need to plug the hole for this to work at all. There a small port between the two brakeline fittings that was plugged with a stock bolt and crush washer. I hope that I can tap out the hole I drilled and plug it with a similalry small fine thread bolt and washer. Does that sound possible, and if so will it be reasonably safe?
