I am having difficulty locating replacement screws to secure the sender to the tank. Can someone tell me what size and pitch they are supposed to be? I had actually saved some from a parts car, but they don't seem to be a pitch I recognize. Could they be 8-32s, or 10-32s, or (gasp,..Whitworth,.?!!)? I don't want to go through this every time I have to deal with bad fuel issues, or defective senders, (something whch seems to be an annual occurrance). I'm thinking of buying a whole batch, or box of the correct screws, but I doubt I'll find the chromed brass ones, or even if I should; stainless steel always looks good to me. My car is a 1969 B-20 model, but I'm not sure that this construction, and related issues are the same for the entire series, Jensen through ES.
Also, the only drain plug I found in a parts house has a hollow core, as opposed to being all solid. That shouldn't make any difference, or? I'm thinking that a brass one won't rust when the inevitable water accumulates at the bottom of the tank again. Anyone dealt with this one recently?
