K&N for 240's???? 200 1992

Hey been thinking about putting a K&N in my 240 with no mods and I was wondering if it is worth the money. My Volvo shop told me that it wouldn't help the performance but I have read on several forums/comments that drivers have found the K&N to help with the uphill power loss a little.

Not really looking for great speed increase, just something to get rid of that loss in power. Again, any help is appreciated.
