Removing the LH-Jetronic 2.4 control module plug 200 1993

It's nearly NYC vehicle inspection time again. Over the years with my 140 and a 1984 245 i have noticed that electrical contacts can be a problem wherever there's a plug. I usually just unplug and replug a connection once or twice (every 5-10 years)to be sure that metal is touching metal (i also have Volvo electrical contact paste...brown gunk).
Whilst cleaning the contacts on my current 1993 245, when i got to the LH-Jetronic 2.4 control module on the sidewall under the glove compartment, i wasn't sure how to unplug it. The plug has two metal "horns" at one end. Do i squeeze them? I was able to open the neighboring EZ116K Ignition module plug with no trouble. I don't want to force the plug and create a problem where there may be none.
Last fall i had an error message regarding the flywheel position sensor, so i bought a new sensor but didn't install it because after i "cleaned" its plug contact the error message hasn't returned.
Thanks.
