Okay, Here's the deal. There's been a question that's been baffling me for awhile. I have an '84 GL sedan parts car and I just bought an '83 GL wagon. On both of these cars the front brakes have solid rotors. On my '84 245(no GL or DL) it had vented rotors on the front. I've always been told that vented rotors provide better braking because the rotors can cool down quicker and are a better design than solid rotors. So if the GL package on these cars is as I'm told the "fully loaded" package then why don't they have vented rotors? Could it be that vented rotors weren't used until 1984? Let me know what you guys think.
