fuel sending unit replacement - how hard on a scale of 1 - 10? 200

good evening,

i'm a bit of a hack when it comes to the car repairs - i've cleaned the throttle body, flame trap, tranny flush, and i'm wondering how hard changing the sending unit is?

i've read the FAQ's and instructions, just a little cautious since gas is involved.

i was thinking of replacing the unit, changing the filter and maybe the in-pump while i'm there.

my concern is getting access as the top is super rusted out. if i went and got a bung nut wrench, would it be that hard? just don't want to get midway through and think #$%$@ - maybe i should have had my mechanic do it.

also, if i do order the parts anything else i need - seals, gaskets, etc?
