Bypass A/C compressor 200 1987

I seem to remember a post a while back about by bypassing the A/C compressor with a longer belt, without any other mods. I think the post had the length and even the part number of the belt from NAPA. I can't locate this post using Search. Has anyone else done this? Thanks.
