Hi all,
Last night on my drive home from school fuse #6 blew. I only realized when a fellow motorist let me know, in some not-so-friendly words, that my brake lights didn't work. The rear running lights were fine. Checked the fuse box and lo and behold, a blown fuse. Replaced it with another 8A and pressed the footbrake to check operation, and the new fuse I just put in immediately blows! I repeated this process until five minutes and five fuses later, it kept blowing! I didn't know what else to do but throw a 16A in there as a stop-gap until I got home. I KNOW that overfusing is a big no-no but I did it and the brake lights worked for the rest of the drive home. Question is, what's causing the system to blow the 8A fuses? Bad ground? I hope someone can help. Thanks!
