Hard steering, new rack, pump, u-joint, still???

88 245 steering's hard and car wanders and I've put in lots of parts, no leaks. Don't think air in sys is the problem. Is wheel alignment very critical? I got it lined up to drive straight, but road surface makes it wander. Pete
