Sunday I installed the gas sender that I bouight on ebay. It was listed for a 160 or 140 (I forgot which) but it had the correct number of holes, so I bought it.
It has a higher cap, but fits well.
The good news - It sems to work fine
The bad news - When the needle touches "empty" It is EMPTY! So I ran out of gas! Fortunately, it gave me ample warning that it was running out of gas, so there were no exciting moments - I was on a 6-lane divided highway, but got to the side easilly.
I carry a nice, 6 liter, spart tire gas can, and the car started right up after I put the gas in.
I have to conduct some experiments to see just how well it reads the fuel level. I put 5 gallons in, and it reads almost full.
How accurate is your gauge? Can they be calibrated or adjusted somehow?
