Elgonated holes on hatch shocks 200

I noticed a couple of days ago that the holes on the hatch shocks had elgonated from wear. The shock material is aluminium and pivots on a steel pin. I believe this is the causing some rattling noise. One solution would be to just replace the shock but I was thinking of just drilling the hole oversize and installing some nylon or poly bushings. Has anyone else seen this? Recommendations to fix the problem?
