Speedo ratio 1974 144 140-160

Does anyone know what the correct speedometer ratio should be on a 1974 144? It has a standard M40 and as I can recall the number 4.10 (does that make sense?) imprinted on a plate on the diff housing. The reason I'm asking is my current speedo says R1.03, but how can I know it hasn't been replaced once already? I want to fix the odometer on it, but just want to make sure I fix a speedo that's correct for the car.
