Has anyone towed a 240 any distance with a towbar?

Any suggestions on best way to attach? How strong is the attachment of the front bumper to the car? Would it be possible to SAFELY bolt a towbar to the front bumper (and attach safety chains).

I need to pull a 89 240 sedan about 350 miles and am considering trying to do it with a towbar.
