How soon will I need OIL pump ? / New Oil Gauge -' 82 240DL 176K miles 4spd+OD 200 1982

Recently installed used volvo 5 bar Oil Pressure gauge from ebay with voltmeter thrown in.Great deal. Some questions.How much PSI is one bar ? Car idles at about 750 RPM.Gauge hovers between 1 & 2 bars at idle & at times hovers at borderline one bar but Idiot light stays off.Could I raise idle to 800-900 rpm as a temporary measure if need be ? Car runs like a top but at 176K should it need a new oil pump? What is average mileage for oil pump replacement ?
