Windshield glass and molding questions - repost

I am wondering if anyone has experience with:

Pilkington, and/or PPG windshields for this car. One better than the other?

I think I need to replace the moldings - the rubber is cracked, and one corner piece at the top is missing.

So far the cheapest I've found moldings was direct from one fo the installers (genuine Volvo) at $210, including the corners and the clips. This beat my best Volvo source by quite a bit.

Can they be rehabbed somehow? Or can anyone recommend a source on the moldings?

I'm a little paranoid about windshields because every one I've ever had done I've had major problems with.

To answer earlier questions from my previous post: My 245 was done by a glass guy recommended by a private Volvo mech in my area. He replaced the stock molding with a black rubber one. It leaked and the installer refused to accept that fact, also I've read a leaky/improperly installed windshield is usually VERY unsafe in a crash. (Car is gone.)

On a Ford van I owned the glass had to be re-installed 3 times before correct. When installed improperly, I was able to push and move the glass from inside with my hand.
