radio, temp gauge and fuel gauge don't work 200 1990

Just recently purchased a 1990 240 DL. The neither the radio, temp gauge or fuel gauge work. Is this an electrical issue? Being female I am hesitant to just take it to a mechanic first...is there something that I could check on my own first?
