My OBD II says my forward oxygen sensor is dead as I am just about to drive 1400 miles to Florida. What will it effect ? The dealership wants about $200 to replace it but from what I see under the car , it involves screwing in a new one and plugging it in to the electrical system. Is there more to it than this ? Any warnings ? Will a basic metric wrench handle it ?
MY 99 V 70 is my first Volvo lemon. It needs parts every month and it's been the subject of several recalls, mostly minor ones. I'm still trying to collect from the ETM failure that resulted in Volvo losing a class action suit in California; about $800. A pleasure to drive though but very painful to own
