240 engine mount issue 200

hello,
I am a victim of the bad engine mount problem. i know this is a common problem among 240 owners, ESPECIALLY those with a manual transmission. i am curious to rememdies of this without spending $120 on diesel mounts or being a ghetto as a ratchet strap. i am considering using 75-79 audi fox motor mounts. i've also considered a third stock mount bolted on the end of a "torque limiting" rod. basically a rod bolted to engine and connected to a stock mount that bolts, or pushes against the strut tower. any ideas or advice?
