Hello All:
Last night after work I started my '92 945T with LH 2.4 (ambient temp near freezing) and it ran very roughly and wanted to stall. It was bogging when the accelerator was pressed, but would eventually rev up after a lag.
By the time I made it home from the commuter train station to my house (several kilometers), it seemed to be running OK, although the idle was high (about 1000 rpm).
Later in the evening I took the car out for an errand and all seemed well.
This AM I pulled the codes-- on socket 2 I get 2-3-1, which according to the FAQ points to fuel trim issues (lambda control) too lean or too rich at part load. Socket 6 was clean-- 1-1-1.
I have my doubts about this being the problem in my case, since the drivability issue arose immediately on start-up, so the fuel trim system should still be open loop at this point.
It seems to run fine now-- I am going to explore the fuel trim issues as well, but I am looking for suggestions about the intermittent rough running problem. Any ideas?
Thanks!
