1987 740 Instrument Cluster Wiring 700 1987

Hello,

I recently replaced the heater core in my daughter's Volvo. The FAQ is right, it took 9 hours to get it out. Anyway, the car seems to be running OK and the heater no longer leaks. Unfortunately, the fuel gauge no longer works, the temp gauge only works when the overdrive light is off, and the overdrive function is reversed. I suspect a grounding problem to the instrument cluster. I did not disconnect (intentionally) any wires from the cluster when I had it out, I just rested it on the steering column. In the rear center of the cluster, there are three single wire push-on connectors. Currently, only one has a wire connected to it. There were several connectors coming out of the harnesses which appeared to be unused. I now suspect a couple of them came off the cluster while I was crawling around in there. Does anyone know if all three connectors should be in use and what color wires should go to them?

Thanks,
Bruce Johnson
