240 Single Headlamp Lend replacement 200

I need to replace the headlamps on my 1986 245 Wagon and dont want to spend alot of money. Does anyone have experience using the replacement plastic lenses on Ebay? I have heard that you can polish the yellow haze out with fiberglass rubbing compound but if I can just replace the lenses for $25 each I think I will just do that. Is there more risk with water infiltration when you replace just the lenses? I am new to the forum having just purchased my first Volvo and really look forward to tinkering on this vehicle. Thanks in advance for the help. I have already found tons of useful info on this site an look forward to fixing up my new favorite vehicle!!
