car shudder 120-130 1960

Hey fellas, Back again.
well i have been driving the car for the last two days. I went and had snow tires mounted today, for the record i got 185/65-15's. They *just* fit the stock rims.

anyhow, upon letting the clutch out, if i am not really careful the whole car will just about shake it self apart. I suspect the carrier bearing, have parts in hand and will get the job done this weekend. As well as new ujoints. I suppose this could be the clutch.....as i sit here thinking about the history of the car...(i bought it from the guy that bought it from the man that had it) i seem to recall something being said about the clutch being stuck? i was there when it was loaded on the trailor, it it all seemed ok. little did i think that some day in the near future, i would end up owning this car....go figure. If it is the clutch causing this problem, and it was stuck at one time, any think it may clear up with use? the shudder doesnt always happen. unless i try to take off at a reasonable clip, if i am deliberate and gentle about it, it doesnt do it. the clutch feels fine, no slipping, and is at a what i figure, a reasonable hieght off the floor , with travel left to use.

One again, i await the wonderful wisdom ot this community
