I ordered a new thermo switch for the '84 760 Turbo's ACC system since it would never turn on when I needed it to. I've checked for vacuum, but have failed to check out the air temp sensors for correct function. The ACC on this car has multiple issues.
Now I'm thinking of taking it to a repair shop to have it looked it. The main problem with the system is that it puts out heat all the time. To my knowledge, I've checked/replaced all vacuum lines. I know a tech who works for the local dealer that said he would work on it in his spare time. I don't drive this car all that much, so I'll probably let him take a shot at it.
My other option would be to switch to manual climate control. I know it's a lot of work, but this is a really nice car other than the climate system. I'm just frustrated with it I guess.
Any suggestions as to what I should do? I rarely ever have to take my Volvos in for repair as I am able to do most of it.
Thanks in advance,
Dave
