Hi Everyone

My 88 245 with a m47 manuel transmission is acting like a bearing has let go inside. I guess i shouldn't have taken it to 5000 rpms in second when I went for third it stayed stuck in second after stoping it shifts but with moderate difficulty and new noises.Since this is my wifes car I am under the gun to make things right.
I am thinking swap. I have had my eye on a 740 with a five speed at the local
junk yard what are the chances of this being a m47?
