I have to replace the MC on my '81 242. In both Bentley and Haynes manuals I see that I have to replace the locknuts holding MC to the servo booster. I did not get any locknuts with my MC. Also looked for locknuts on FCP's site but they're not offered. Can anyone tell me if I can re-use temporarily?? Also do I have to replace them with Volvo-specific nuts or can they be nuts from the hardware store? Need to know PDQ as I am hoping to replace MC tonight.
