looking to buy this car...need a quick answer on the IRS style... 700 1988

I've got more they sent, one that has a bit of a view of the rear wheel and trailing arm (i think)....I could send this to you if you requested it.It might help with IRS identification.

The car is listed as an 88 - a carfax report claims this as well.

Now what I see is a dash / controls out of a later model 700 or early 900.(1991-92??)

Same goes for the headlights.

I'm mostly curious as to when they started putting in the ugly IRS suspension system. Was it 1989? I hope not...

The engine is a 230ft...dizzy mounted at the back of the head, with lh injection.

The car was made in Sweden as well..

Any help out there? I like this beast and have a ride set up to the west coast to purchase if I decide to......Volvo number 5 and counting!!!!

I'm stepping out for an hour, but will be checking then.
