Things I have done/should do to my car + won't run well when cold 200

I crunched the numbers and realized I can finish school without going into any debt. Yee-haw!

It's time to set aside a budget to start working on my long-neglected Volvo.

It's an '84 242, non-turbo. Takes about a minute of warming up at 2,000 rpm or it will die in traffic. Can't run without my foot on the gas during that time. Only gets about 25 MPG on I-5

Newer air mass meter, plug wires, thermostat, plugs, belts, radiator, oxygen sensors, FPR's and clutch.

Newer Tociko (sp?) shocks, trailing arm bushings, and tires.

It needs new bushings front and rear, especailly for the new

I'm getting a new battery, and want to clean the idle controler motor thing and install new coolant temp and knock sensors, new vacum hoses and have the injectors cleaned and reseal them.

I'm wondering what other improvements I can do, and what gets the most bang for the buck. I can't pour a ton of money into this thing, but I'd like to get it perfect mechanically, have it drive well and maybe even get a paintjob. Thanks!
