Still looking at a friends '90 200 that wont start after Head gasket replacement (see the thread below).
http://www.brickboard.com/RWD/index.htm?id=1129010
I spent more time looking at it yesterday. The car sat for over 1 year before the Head gasket was just replaced.
Spark looks good
Timing belt replacement was done correctly, Rotor, Cam notch and Crank were ailigned.
Fuel pumps are running ..It's getting gas and I hear them.
With a sprits of Starter fluid it runs for a second.
With the Pin in #6 I get a 1-1-1 code But with it in #2 I get a 1-2-3 code. I thought #6 is the only pin that counts.
Although there was a few gallons of fresh gas added, The wet Plugs stink like varnish. I gotta believe that this No Start issue is gas quality.
Is there an 'easy' way to pump out this fuel?
Can I unhook a line and let the main pump push it out, Can I get a small hose down the fill and siphon it?
Are there any tricks that will make this an easy task?
