Just wanted to introduce myself. Well my name is Mat and I got a case of Volvoism. Just bought a 1986 760 turbo for 500 canadian dollars. 250000 km and it apparently needs a turbo. I did not start it so hopefully it;s not more than that. Other issues with the car...it has 2 holes in the floor which are about 4-5 inches in diameter. I will fix those during winter and hopefully there won't be more. Besides that the body is kind of clean. When you think about it the car has spent its 20 years on Quebec's salty roads.

Now I got a first question. The previous owner told me the car has an oil cooled turbo but that I could install an oil and water cooled from another turbo model. He said there is a plug on the block and I just need the necessary piping that should come with the other turbo. Is it that easy or should I stick with the oil cooled turbo.

Also, what is the maximum boost pressure you could run with the stock injection and all other components without altering reliability? I was told 15 PSI. What kind of power would it have at that pressure?
