Electrical Gremlins 1800

I've been a bit distracted with a couple dozen responsibilities, the death of my 500,000 mile B18, and the complete loss of both my key sets for the 1800ES. Fortunately I found one set and after a week of sitting, fired up the 1800 and let it roar for a while. I know I still have some fuel issues and some serious rust issues to work out, but I've dicovered that this car has some nasty little electrical gremlins.

I've had mutiple issues with losing Fuse 11. This one controls the port side running lights and dash indicator lights. Initially, it was my bad headlight. So I put in a good headlight and things were fine for a bit (despite that the headlight is on a different circuit). Then, #11 blew repeatedly when I moved the driver's seat forward. So I took up the carpet, marvelled and the nightmare that was my "floorpan" and tapped off all the exposed wires that I found.

That problem went away, until this evening, when I finally relocated my keys and started the car. Now my rear clearance lights are out, but the front ones are on. But after a sitting in the idling car for a bit, trying to get my broken OD lever to stay "off" I somehow caused #11 to blow again - by playing with the OD lever... And to add insult to injury, I had my wipers going, and they suddenly stopped working in mid-swipe (shortly before - not at the same time).

There are some little gremlins in this car and I'm not sure how I could keep blowing #11 after so many fixes. I figure I'll just have to keep tracing, but I'm really quite stumped on why the wipers just "stopped" like that.

Any suggestions/anecdotes are appreciated.
