Car Cut Off At Speed 200 1990

On the way to work this morning while going around 45mph the engine died.

I pulled over, it started up 1st turn, but as soon as I hit the gas pedal it died again.

This happened for two more tries then it started and ran normally. I got about another 1/2 mile and it died again. Still started right away but as soon as you hit gas it died.

After another couple of tries it ran normally again....

Any ideas what to look for?
