I have a 1991 940 Turbo that has got me and a few other Volvo mechanics stumped and would love to get some ideas.
I just finished swapping in a new (100k) B230F (old engine burned a piston) and at first had difficulty starting. I could get it started but would run very rough. I cut it off that night, came back the next day and it would not start at all. Currently, none of the injectors are firing, but I have spark. Here is what has been checked:
Flywheel position
Replaced flywheel position sensor.
Replaced ECT.
Checked fuel system relays (3)
Swapped ECU
Timing (belt) and dist. advance.
Checked grounds
Checked underhood connections
Checked fuses
Has anyone experienced a similar issue or have an idea of what might be happening? Could the ballast resistors go out suddenly? Something happened immediately after the engine swap that has caused this but I am stumped and need my daily driver back!
HELP! :)
