Transmission Lockout 700

The car is a 1989 760 turbo. I was working on the underside of the car repairing the rear brakes so the car was on jack stands. I finished the job and went to test my work and the car will not go into drive. It will go to reverse and neutral and will roll. I drove the car earlier in the day and all was ok. Any Thoughts as to what could be going on?
