I bought a parts car that had IPD's sport springs, sway bars, and Bilstein's already installed on it. While the parts were on the car, I did the typical "rebound" test on all four corners, and the vehicle compressed, rebounded, compressed a little, rebounded a little, and then stopped.
Compared to my daily driver 164, it compressed, rebounded, then stopped.
I took that to mean the Bilsteins on the parts car are gone.
However, I'm wondering if that's the end-all be-all of tests, or if there's a way to test them off the car?
When I compress the two fronts off the car, they rebound at different rates. Same with the two rears: one rebounds faster than the other.
Do you guys think I should install these shocks on my daily driver when I transfer the springs/sways? Is it possible to have these shocks rebuilt, and if so, where?
Thanks in advance!
