I took the air intake box out today to test the copper
switch and the flap is in the middle with the engine cold.
I put hot water and it closed the heat intake hole. Question
is it normal for the flap to stay in the middle or is it
supposed to close the cold air intake hole completely?
Also when the engine is cold and at idle when I push
the gas the enigne accel put sound like a intake backfire.
This only happens when the engine is cold. What could be
the problem with this? Thanks Bricksters....
I have a factory volvo econo gauge I hooked it
up to the intake manifold and the mixture was
lean all the way to the left. When I accel
the needle goes 3/4 of the way to the right of the gauge.
(The factory gauge is the picture below)
