I'm loving my '89 745T w/M46, but second gear has officially left the building. No problem, I have a spare M46/J-type I can swap in (with directions in the FAQ), but when I did the clutch on this car I was never able to get the clutch slave cylinder out of the bellhousing. As I understand it, the slave cylinder slides in from the front, and attaches with a circlip at the rear. Is this the only fastener keeping it in place? I did read in the FAQ about the slave cyl. corroding in place - do I just need to wail on it a bit, with liberal doses of PB? I don't want to break the little bugger...
Secondary question: as with all Volvo wagons I've ever driven, mine was equipped with the 'Tweety Bird' option (i.e. incessantly chirping tailgate.) What is the cure for this aggravating noise?
Tertiary question: I seem to get all the washer fluid I could ever want from both the hood and tailgate nozzles, yet I have a short (~12") length of rubber hose coming out of the top of my washer fluid resevoir that goes nowhere. Is this a pressure vent hose?
