240 overdrive stuck on 200

please help. driving on the highway this afternoon my overdrive stuck on. from previous posts i realise that i will most probably have to remove and refurbish the overdrive solenoid, but my question is this: in the meantime, as i will be mostly driving around town, is there a quick way to dislodge the overdrive? thanks brickboard. warren '85 245 Ti
