I'm still having intermittent problems with idle speed and quality. My '87 has been stalling intermittently since late September. In October I took the car from North Jersey to Quebec, putting over 1500 miles on it with no problems and no stalling whatsoever. Lately it's back: Idling at a traffic light, car can either have been running for hours or just warmed up and it just dies, like you turned the key off. It will start right up and run fine for hours. Or sitting at a light, car almost stalls and the idle speed runs up to 1500 or so and then goes back to normal. Two times recently, it would almost stall and then run really rough with no power until you turn it off and restart it, then it runs fine again; or the idle speed goes up to 1500 and stays there until you turn it off and restart, then it runs fine. Car has the five speed, new cap rotor plugs wires, new harness. I cleaned the IAC and the throttle body, but I'm thinking the IAC might be sticking a bit. Any other takes on this? Thanks in advance.
