While making some "Volvo Special" filters today I finally got a chance to make a pair of clear covers for the air filters for my car. These are made from a polymer that is pretty resistant to gas fumes, so hopefully they will not "fog up" too quickly. I used a nearly identical type of poly for gas lines for about 5yrs. on an old Ducati I have and they lasted fairly well and stayed pretty clear, though they finally turned brown.
These covers will let me show folks my air horns, and the fit and seal of the elements instead of hiding them behind foam and aluminium!
The engraving was done from the back as a mirror image for a 'deep' look.
I am tempted to try and include some sort of flow indicators in the next set as I have some more of this material.

Cheers!
