Short Story Long.
New Fan belts started to stretcha bit and Squeal when engine was cold.
Popped the hood and tighted the Alternator belts with no issue. I hate the AC side of things. It is very tough to get to the back AC nut. I surrender and take off the Air cleaner cover, unhook the AMM and small hose for a better shot at the Nut. Any way all is buttoned up except I didn't reconnect the AMM Harness. Start teh car... get a Check Engine light.
I grab the Bentley book to try and clear the codes "the right way" It says to hold button down for 5 seconds minimum , after 3 seconds I should see the red light. Well, as soon as I pushed the button, the light lit. I played the whole game " wait 3 seconds, push button for ..blah blah blah.
After a few minutes of that I pulled the Battery terminal.
Has anyone Cleared the codes properly. What's the secret.
P.S. With all the smart stuff Volvo has done, That AC nut and the tight plumbing of the Air Filter system is so annoying. It's in there with the Heater Fan on dopey things that need to be serviced but tough to get to.
